Sunday School

During the Winter of 2009 a wonderful memorial gift was received in honor of Bud Thommsen, a member of our church for many years.  Bud Loved children and valued Christian Education.  This wonderful donation was blended with over $6,000 in direct donations from our congregation and we now are pleased to offer a brand new, God blessed, Godly Play room.  Godly Play is a wonderful way to share our faith with our children, youth and adults.  Using common language and Montessori methods we learn the stories and lessons of the bible using all the senses.  We welcome all.  Godly play starts right after the children's moment early during our 10:00 service.

Kids Action Club

Our Kids Action Club is comprised of children ages 4 and up and their families who seek to make a difference in the lives in our community members most in need. We learn scripture in hands on ways including short plays that we share with the congregation. We also focus on family with events meant to give our families a chance to spend time together while doing mission projects. These mission projects include Kindness Bags to hand out to the homeless (available in Geneva Hall for anyone who would like to help disperse these bags of necessities with prayer and local resource cards inside). The children also enjoy creating Kindness Jars filled with soup ingredients to feed a family of 8 once added to a pot of boiling water. These are given to the local family shelter, Samaritan House.

Adult Education

Currently adult education opportunities exist through our Book study which meets every Monday at Noon.  During which we use both fiction and non-fiction novels, poetry, and other forms of media to study God's word and understand better Gods plan for us.

We also have our Brown Bag Bible study group which meets each Wednesday also at noon.  Using the lectionary readings and discussion we study the upcoming Sundays scripture, often over lunch, to help us to be better prepared some Sunday worship.

Our youth welcome us into the Advent Season each year with their very own Christmas Story
