Christian Education/Youth and Childrens Ministry

Sunday School
Our Sunday school is designed as a one room school house at this time and participants range from kindergarten to 5th grade. We use the Presbyterian Church's "We Believe" curriculum which provides a wonderfully balanced use of scripture, art, song, and activity as an approach to Christian education. Kath Schanou and Peggy Wood combine forces to provide a warm and loving environment for the children of our church as their parents worship in the sanctuary.
High School Youth Group
We have an active High School Youth group that can vary a great deal in size and participation. We currently meet every Sunday (not including the first Sunday of every month) in our meeting room at the church. We usually meet from 6 to 7:30. Ending times vary but start time are consistent. We have an assortment of dedicated youth leaders lead by DCE David Heater and volunteers Barry McPherson and Jill Luther. We provide a welcoming environment, open to all, and every attempt is made to show by lesson and example the benefits of having a relationship with God and the church. We put an emphasis on the foundation of our faith and the reality of Creator, Savior and Sustainer. We would love to have you participate and any questions can be directed to Dave at 541-961-3499.
Adult Education
Held on Sundays at 9 a.m. in Westminster and utilizes an abundance of tools to share the wonderful message of our creator to include but not to be limited to, scripture, book studies, film, powerpoint, music, prose and guest moderators. This is a wonderful way to prepare for Sunday worship and our moderator, Beth Hubbard, loves the Lord and her passion to help others move in that direction shows in each Sunday study.
